New York, New York

Its 24-hour pulse. Buzzing, people-filled streets. Underground hip bars. A cloud-piercing skyline. Cronuts. The city of Opportunity. We could go on and on, because there’s nothing to not to love. There’s much room for warmth in this concrete jungle “where dreams are made of”, so here’s where you should go on a first date.

Neha Jaiswal, Lawyer, recommends:

Grand Banks

An incredible sunset view with great company, refreshing cocktails and delicious entrees – all on this fishing boat-turned-bar. Grand Banks is Neha’s romantic outdoor pick for a summer date by the Hudson River. “I love a lazy Sunday brunch here – gorge on soft-shell crabs, lobster rolls, and of course, lots of oysters,” adds Neha.

PDT

This speakeasy bar allows entry only through a phone booth, affixed to a hot dog joint in the East Village. PDT (Please Don’t Tell), with its inviting menu of thoughtfully crafted cocktails and bar nibbles, makes for a memorable, intimate evening for two. “It is truly a pain to get a table reservation at PDT, but I don’t mind it – it’s one of the few places that’s worth the trouble,” says Anirudh.
